ORANGE COUNTY PISTOL LEAGUE
2006 - 2007 SEASON
STARTS OCTOBER 3, 2006
Starting September 26th and continuing every Wednesday thereafter
and concluding on Wednesday, April 30, 2008
Shooting starts around 4:30 PM That's 32 match dates. After 10 matches your lowest score is dropped
every match. Only your 10 highest scores will count towards winning the cash.
This
league is designed so that the novice shooter has the
same chance of winning as the experienced competitor.
This is a relaxed, fun league that will give you a chance
to sharpen your shooting skills and, besides, Wednesday
nite is a really bad night for TV.
You may use a revolver or semi
auto of any caliber. Relays will start around 4:30 PM with
last relay at 8PM. Cash awards will be given based on the
Lewis system. Your 10 best scores will be used so shoot as
often as you like. The more scores you post the better your
chances. Cost is only $10.00 per
match for Master Class menbers and $12 for non-members. Total cash awards will be 1/2 of what Master Class
collects. They paid out over $2,900.00 to last year's winners.

MASTER CLASS SPECIAL EVENTS
Special Events can be shot by shooters of any skill level
and are a lot of fun. Anyone can win thanks to the Lewis System of
scoring. It is worth it just for the food and the talk.
John Moses Browning is America's greatest gun
inventor. Among some of the types of guns he invented
Lever Action Repeating Rifles
Automatic shotguns
Machine guns
Handguns including
Colt's .45 ACP M1911 Government Model
and FN's Browning High-Power
The Plate setup. Nice of Dennis to put the Star and the other small
plates all the way in the back.
Dennis works the clock
Alice was keeping the scores.
CENTERFIRE ACTION PLATE MATCH
The first row was 5 round plates with
one popper
The second row was 6 plates,
two rectangle and 4 pins
The last row was 2 rows of 3
each with the front row having that dang star.
The third row was one popper and 4 small
squares
Dennise's
sick mind did it again. You started with gun loaded with 6 rounds on
the bench and 6 rounds each at the other 3 stations. Buzzer goes off,
you grab gun, shoot till empty, run to next station, load, shoot, run,
...
Some of the shooters did complain that
they were unfairly slowed down by all of the food that they stuffed
themself's with including the cakes and other sweet things that we should
not eat but taste too good to pass up.
Pin match at Master Class
It was standing room only at Master
Class in Monroe on Sundy the 14th, 2004 for a pin match. Everyone
had a great time.
Alice
was scoring
Dennis
was blowing the horn
Pin heads for 22 Cal.
The women were shooting too!
All of the pins set up.
You shoot them,
you reset them
It was standing
room only.
No matter how bad you shoot,
you can always score at the food table.
At another Plate Match at Master Class on 12/04, Dennis raised
every ones's blood pressure by putting the 4" square
plates in the back and low. (See red arrow.)
When we say you can shoot anything we mean anything and one person did
quite well by shooting three brace of Six Shooters.
