Filled with incorrect information and misrepresentations, this book is a classic example of how anti-gunners will lie to support their cause and then their lies will be used by the press and other writters to justify more anti-gun articles and books.

Gov. Mario Pataki just had to include this in part of his 5 point anti-gun legislation in 2000. No one thought that it would work very well but no one knew just how bad it would be and how much it would cost. What do the anti-gunners want? To expand it even more to include long guns and the bullets from revolvers. The only question left to be ansered is just how many guns will be registered and how much money will be wasted before we get the first gun connected to a crime.

Gov. Mario Pataki's Renewable Handgun License with Fees Proposal, January 2004

Gov. Mario Pataki has proposed making handgun licenses renewable and adding a state fee of $100 and allowing all counties to charge what ever they want. This report outlines the changes and provides other sources of information.

New York Assault Weapon Ban

When the Federal Assault Weapons Ban ended on 9/13/04, the NY AWB is still in place and will limit what firearms we can buy and what accessries that we can buy and put on our handguns and rifles. It will also limit what guns we can buy in the ffture because if a gun maker makes a new gun but does not make magazines that go into it that are limited to 10 rounds, New Yorkers will not be able to buy the gun.
This section contains only information related to the AWB section of the law that was passed in 2000. It is not easy reading but I have tried to make it easier by breaking it up and giving a summary to each major section.
